Superfoods are a major part of my lifestyle, and today, I want to share with you my top 4 favorite superfoods that have improved my health and well-being.
Currently, these are my favorite superfoods. I’ve noticed some significant changes since adding more of these superfoods and I’d like to share them with you.
#1: Spirulina
This amazing green algae powder has quickly become one of my favorite superfoods since trying it for the first time almost a year ago. I’ve gotten used to the taste and enjoy adding a small scoop inside my banana ice cream, salads and other savory foods. It makes the flavors of the food POP, especially when you sprinkle a pinch of pink himalayan sea salt to the mix!
According to 0medz0.com, “spirulina is a single-celled algae that grows on top of water, typically grown on top of pond or lake waters.” This green algae holds an abundance of vitamins, minerals and amino acids to support a healthy, strong immune system and body.
Changes I experienced with spirulina: My skin is much more clearer and glows; my nails and hair grow stronger and healthier; my eyesight gets boosted, my focus is top notch, and my energy levels are high! My sleep is more profound and I even remember my dreams! Te high fiber content helps me stay fuller longer and my digestion is great. Always cleansing.
Best ways to use spirulina: Add 1/2 a teaspoon inside banana ice cream, sprinkle inside salads, add a teaspoon to smoothies, and other gourmet, dehydrated and savorty dishes.
Dosage: It’s possible to overdo eating spirulina. Too much of it, in fact, can cause upset stomach, diarrhea or other adverse health effects. It’s recommended that you take 1-2 teaspoons daily of spirulina powder, no more.

Ever since Sari Foods sent me their powder to review, I have been on a turmeric hook, adding it inside my banana ice cream, chocolate, salads, smoothies, and other foods. I simply love the taste and how it makes me feel. Banana ice cream sprinkled with pure turmeric powder drizzled with black strap molasses is a heavenly mixture.
Why I love turmeric: Love the way it makes me feel focused, energized and full for hours. My energy is high, it helps my digestion, gives my skin a glow, and strengths my vision.
