Making the perfect watermelon juice first starts with a perfectly ripe and sweet watermelon. And when a watermelon has dark and light green stripes, it’s a good indication that the melon is a sweetie! My dad recently bought two melons that day that had those stripes, and WOW, was that melon sweet!
And since my watermelon has seeds in them, I prefer to strain my juice so that I’m not swallowing, chewing or consuming the seed chips. The juice is better strained, and comes out nice and smooth and even sweeter! You can compost the pulp of the watermelon juice if you’d like.
