How To Make Banana Ice Cream (With Pictures)! Dairy-free, Sugar-free, Fat-Free!

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the pictures I posted of my epic banana ice cream bowls. Banana ice cream is one of my absolutely favorite meals. Its a great way to carb up, it’s satisfying, it’s super yummy, and very nutritious! You can literally eat POUNDS of this; it’s that good for you and it’s fat-free ;).

This ice cream is truly the BEST ice cream ever! It’s creamy, sweet and rich, and it’s also dairy-free, sugar-free, fat-free, raw vegan, and made without artificial flavors and/or preservatives that are not good for our health. Thus, you can feel 100% GUILT-FREE during and after eating it. 🙂 Doesn’t that sound awesome?!

What’s great about this ice cream is, it’s super easy and fast to make, it’s literally done in seconds! All you need (for the base) are frozen bananas blended up into a creamy, soft-serve consistency, and voila! You’ve got yourself the most EPIC and amazing ice cream on Earth! of course, you can feel free to flavor it up to your liking and top if off with fruits (or other toppings) of your choice. Give it a try. Once you do, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t know about this before…

This is a great substitute for the dairy-filled ice creams. Who needs to eat that fake, toxic ice cream, when you’ve got the most healthiest version (and real one!)?! You’ll be surprised what ingredients are found in ice creams served in ice cream trucks, shops and parlors… :/

HOW TO MAKE BANANA ICE CREAM

STEP 1: Peel and freeze ripe bananas. Allow the bananas to freeze for 3-6 hours, or overnight.

Bananas are ripe when they have developed cheetah spots (as shown in this image). This also means that the bananas have developed their natural sugars (ripe bananas will not only taste better, but it also tastes sweeter), it will be better for your digestion, and you reap more of its wonderful benefits. ALWAYS eat ripe fruits, no matter what!

TRICK for freezing bananas quicker: break the bananas into chunks and don’t fill up the tray with banana pieces. The more you fill up the tray, the longer it’ll take to freeze. I do this trick whenever I freeze bananas that same day. It really helps, and I find it only takes 3 hours for the bananas to freeze.

STEP 2: Using your high-speed blender or a food processor (I personally like to use my Dash blender, it blends ice cream with ease and comes out more awesomely), blend the frozen bananas until a creamy and smooth consistency.Feel free to add in whichever other sweet or sub-acid fruits you like (blueberries, cherries, dates, mangoes, strawberry, etc are all great).  Enjoy as you wish.

TIP: if the ice cream swirls in the blender, it’s ready to go! 😉
