Although I’ve almost always drank water first thing in the morning upon waking, I’ve recently mixed things up with a new twist, along with adapting a healthy habit that I will do for the rest of my life!
Every morning, (whenever I have these ingredients on hand) I’ll drink 32 ounces of filtered water with lemon juice, cayenne powder, apple cider vinegar, and stevia powder. I drink this on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything. Not only I am starting the day off right, but drinking this allows my body to wake up, as well.

If you don’t already, I highly recommend that you start your day by drinking 32 ounces of this detox elixir every morning, on an empty stomach. Many people drink coffee first thing in the morning to wake them up (which is not a good idea, because coffee is very acidic), while this elixir is the perfect energy booster upon waking. I’m drinking this elixir habitually every morning for the rest of my life, and I hope you join me in doing the same. This elixir will significantly improve your health, so make it part of your lifestyle.
Daily Morning Detox Elixir
32 ounces of distilled or filtered water
1 whole or half a lemon, freshly squeezed (depending on the size)
1/2 teaspoon stevia powder (I would like to say that, adding stevia to the Daily Morning Detox Elixir is optional, but since there is spiciness to the elixir, why not add it?! Adding it will only make it sweeter)
pinky size amount of fresh ginger, grated and optional
This recipe is so simply, it doesn’t even need directions!
Simply, fill up your 32 ounce glass with alkalizing water. (Most people warm their water prior to drinking it, which is something you can do if your water is cold.)
Squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon into the water. Sprinkle in the cayenne powder, the tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and grated ginger (if you like). Stir the water until everything is mixed together.
For best results, be sure to drink this first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, for 60 minutes (or longer). Don’t just drink this for 21 days, a month or a year; do it for the rest of your life!
Also, for optimum digestion, wait 20 minutes after drinking the elixir before eating eating or drinking anything (like a juice or a smoothie).
