These have got to be one of my favorite raw vegan brownies ever! I know I said that for my raw marbled brownies, too (recipe in my e-book) but these are just SO delicious! They taste and remind me of a fudge brownie. These brownie are decadent, guilt-free, low-fat, and turned out perfect! The taste and texture was WOWmazingly awesome. The dried and fresh figs, mixed with the brazil nuts made it firm up very well. You could also place them in the dehydrator to dry out and get warm, too. So it’ll look, taste and feel just like the traditional brownies, but way better for you 🙂
Raw Fig Fudge Brownies Recipe
- 1 cup buckwheat flour
- 1/4 cup brazil nuts
- 1/4 cup dried figs
- 4-6 fresh figs (the fresh figs replaces the dates in this recipe, but feel free to add pitted medjool dates if you don’t have fresh figs)
- 1/2 tsp stevia powder
- 4 tablespoons cacao or carob powder
- 1/4-1/3 cup alkaline water (distilled or filtered)
At the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish, spread the dough and form brownies. You don’t need to place these brownies in the fridge to harden; cover and let them sit on your kitchen counter. Cut and serve with a glass of almond milk – Enjoy! Mmmm!! Brownie lovers will fall in love! These are REAL BROWNIES, people! REAL, RAW, HEALTHY BROWNIES! 100% GUILT-FREE, BABY!!
You can use this raw brownie recipe to make balls, truffles, cupcakes, nut butter and jelly sandwiches (recipe on this soon!), pie and cake crusts, blend it into smoothies (you’ll get a raw blizzard!), top off the brownie chunks/crumbs on top of ice cream, or simply enjoy them like brownies and if you wanted, add epic toppings on top! Have fun experimenting 🙂
